Print and cut your cards

Print at home or take your PDF to a print shop. Each 8½ × 11-inch cardstock sheet makes two cards. Cut at the marks, then add your message on the back.

At the print shop: Ask for a color document on 8½ × 11-inch cardstock, printed single-sided at 100%. Your PDF already has two cards per sheet. This uses document printing rather than a photo-card package.

How long will my card take?

Please allow 3–5 business days after payment and receipt of your house photos and complete order details.

Will the artwork look exactly like my house?

Your card is a recognizable artistic interpretation of your home, rather than an exact architectural rendering. Small details, proportions, landscaping, or the viewing angle may be simplified. If particular landscaping matters to you, include that in your request.

What does one revision round include?

Send one message containing all the small changes you'd like. This keeps your feedback together and makes the revision process simple.

How do I print and cut my cards?

Both sizes are included. Each PDF prints two flat, single-sided cards on one ordinary 8½ × 11-inch sheet of cardstock. Choose “Actual Size” or “100%” and one PDF page per sheet. Turn off “Fit” or “Shrink.” The PDF already contains two cards; do not choose two pages per sheet. Cut along the marks. For 5 × 7 cards, trim the sides, top, and bottom and cut across the center. For 5½ × 8½ cards, make just one cut across the center. Each card has a white border and a blank reverse for your handwritten message. No folding or special perforated sheets needed.

Can I print at home or use a print shop?

Either works. For home printing, use cardstock your printer supports and print one test sheet first. At a print shop, ask for: “Single-sided color document printing on 8½ × 11-inch cardstock, at 100% size.” Use the supplied PDF rather than ordering 5 × 7 photo prints or a photo-card package. Each sheet makes two cards. Ask for a quote, including cutting if you want it. Paper, printing, cutting, and envelopes are purchased separately.

Which envelopes fit?

For 5 × 7 cards, buy A7 envelopes (5¼ × 7¼ inches). For 5½ × 8½ cards, buy A9 envelopes (5¾ × 8¾ inches). These envelope sizes fit the finished flat cards. Envelopes are purchased separately.

Can I share my card digitally?

Yes. Your JPEG (also called a JPG) is a single image of your finished artwork for email, messages, or services that request an image file. For two cards per sheet, use the supplied PDFs; the JPEG does not contain the cutting layout.
